Catching Up With DroGotDoe

Where are you from? Have your surroundings shaped you in a creative sense, and in what way?

Born in Clearwater, FL. Raised in Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs, FL. Florida has molded me into the man I am today. Just by the way I carry myself, the way I talk, the clothes I wear, my whole mentality.

What’s your background like?

My pops used to record music and make beats. Mainly just hip-hop. My mom used to play hip-hop too, but really used to play a lot of R&B. I used to watch my dad do it all, met most of his music friends when I was younger. So music just runs in the family, I have been around it all my life. Who would have ever thought I’d be the one making music two decades later.

Who are your top 5 favorite artists?

Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Key!, Lucki, Spaceghostpurrp

What made you start making music?

I used to freestyle/ make music for fun with my homies in high school. But then I quit football and my passion for music grew cause I just kept working at it whenever I had the opportunity. After I graduated high school, I started getting more serious with it and consistently started dropping music and performing.

Who would you like to work with and why?

I’d either want to work with SGP or Key! For one Purrp’s sound isn’t like any ordinary producer he really in his own lane, it’s distinct. He is in my top 5 producer list and he can rap too. Been listening to him since 201. I fuck with his swag and approach so I feel like we could make some fire music together. Now, wit Key! he just has crazy flows and I relate to a lot of his music. His style is rare, we would make something crazy!

What’s your favorite song at the moment?

My favorite song right now would be my own song titled “Die4MyRespect” from my debut album “Demons On My Back” it symbolizes me and what I’m all about.

What keeps you going? How you doing mentally?

Just keeping myself motivated, listening to artists that inspire me the most, freestyling over beats and my family/ friends unconditional support.

How would you describe your style?

Laid back, chill, grimy flow, or some heartbreak music. I’m very versatile.

Where do you see yourself this time next year?

More content than I anticipate, making decent profits from my music, taking care of my family, more exposure.
